Five of Cups
The picture · Bright face · Shadow · Way through
Every card has four faces: what the picture shows, the bright face it turns when the situation supports it, the shadow when the same root is overdone or stuck, and the way through that the picture itself draws.
A cloaked figure mourns three spilled cups
Grief given its due
Regret staring only at what spilled
Two cups still stand behind — turn, and what remains appears
As your card of the day
If Five of Cups is the first card you draw today, the day leans toward “Grief given its due”. When it tips toward “Regret staring only at what spilled”, remember the way the picture draws: Two cups still stand behind — turn, and what remains appears.
