The Fool
The picture · Bright face · Shadow · Way through
Every card has four faces: what the picture shows, the bright face it turns when the situation supports it, the shadow when the same root is overdone or stuck, and the way through that the picture itself draws.
A youth strides toward a cliff edge, face to the sky, a small dog at heel
A fresh start carried light, on courage bigger than calculation
Optimism with no preparation, eyes off the ground
The edge is still a step away — there is time to look
As your card of the day
If The Fool is the first card you draw today, the day leans toward “A fresh start carried light, on courage bigger than calculation”. When it tips toward “Optimism with no preparation, eyes off the ground”, remember the way the picture draws: The edge is still a step away — there is time to look.
